How long have you been in business?
Over 35 years.
What is your primary product or service?
I am an oil painter of Familiar Scenes Of New England, & Historical Hotels & Resorts. My paintings hang in The MIAA building in Forge Park, Franklin, Massachusetts, along with many other establishments, such as The Omni Mount Washington Hotel in Brettonwoods, New Hampshire. -They sell my Limited Edition Prints (-of the Hotel) there. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
-I showed a passion for art at a very young age, receiving art awards as early as grade school. The arts were the center of my education. -Upon graduating, I earned a scholarship to The Phoenix School of Design in New York City. I worked as a Technical Illustrator in Long Island, before raising my 3 sons. While living in Michigan, I became intensely involved in the art community. I studied at The Detroit Institute of Arts and The Center For Creative Studies in Detroit. I took membership in such prestigious organizations as The Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Association, Waterford Friends Of The Arts and The Pontiac-Oakland Society Of Artists. I had professional memberships with The Cranbrook Institute Of Arts, The Paint Creek Center For The Arts, and The Michigan Watercolor Society. I then lived in the Brandywine Valley region of Pennsylvania, member of The Delaware Museum Of Art, The Chester County Art Association, and The Community Arts Center in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. Relocating to Holliston, Massachusetts, I became the sole proprietor of my business. I painted many individual & corporate commissions, including Hugene Trusdale Cleland, architect of Kirk In The Hills Church, Bloomfield, Michigan, Shirley A De Liberto, Executor Director of the New Jersey Transit authority, Kathleen M. Haage, Area Director U.S. Custom Services, Virginia E. Haines, Executive Director New Jersey Lottery Commission, and jockey Carl Gambardella, (-Hall Of Fame). I have (oil) painted a series of Swanboat paintings, views of The Public Garden and many other familiar scenes throughout Boston. I have painted for such establishments as The Mount Washington Hotel and Resort, Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, The Woodstock Inn, Woodstock, Vermont, The Green Mountain Inn and Top Notch Resort and Spa, both in Stowe, Vermont, and The Wayside Inn, Sudbury, Massachusetts. After living in Holliston, for 20 years, I now reside in Franklin, Massachusetts.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My art work is from the old school, not "computerized" in any way. -I am also one of the few OIL painters left. Many have changed their medium because of toxic health reasons. Although I have had cancer, I now paint with much ventilation, as oil painting is what I have a passion for.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I am in Franklin & paint in my studio there. I also receive orders from my web site. -I use to paint at shows all over New England for 21 years; but I have since semi-retired from that prt of my business.

What type of payments do you accept?
50% before painting starts, then the rest at its completion.
Which areas do you service?
Any at all.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I do. My husband Ron is my Marketing Manager as well.
What are your hours of operation?
By appointment only, as I cannot be interrupted when I'm working on a canvas.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
A recommendation.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
"Technique is the craft of painting; but art is truly the expression. When I paint, I enter "another dimension" & express my passions through my art. To me, painting involves capturing the essence of the uniqueness of what I see and feel in the subject. My paintings are feelings captured at a moment in time, having an almost "dreamy" effect, as if capturing a visual thought, while reminiscing its memory." -Linda Ravella, Artist
